First, we must mention that Marketing by the C is unlike other agencies because we focus primarily on helping locally owned businesses, and we do all work in-house to ensure high-quality work and results in the most efficient amount of time. We also have a long history of working with companies for several years, and we believe it’s due to our high level of transparency, work ethics, overall flexibility, and on-call concierge-style availability to those who hire us. Yes, our services and talents are useful, but the way we handle business and become part of ’the team’ is unlike typical marketing outfits.

To answer the question ‘How do we work with businesses?’, it’s pretty straightforward. When a business hires us, they either retain our services by prepaying for a Block of Time -OR- prepay a small Retainer Fee and receive monthly invoices to be paid within 15-days.  Our rates vary based on the number of hours a company buys or needs, which can be as little as 10-hours, to as many as 200 or more hours. The moment a business hires us, they have access to every Marketing by the C service and can begin submitting work orders as they please.

As we complete jobs for those we work with, we document and keep track of all tasks in as little as 0.1-hour increments, and share the details via Google Drive shared Spreadsheet to maintain a level of transparency unmatched to other agencies. Unless we’re expecting large amounts of ongoing work, we typically recommend businesses start with 10-hour blocks of time, and get more hours as they need. For new website project proposals, we quote the entire project, but bill in thirds rather than all up-front. We understand that time is money, and we don’t like to waste either.
