2024 Year in Review
Written by Carl Foisy
2024 was a wonderful year. We focused on our fundamentals, shared more success-inducing ’secret sauce’ in our articles (*listed below), and added a couple of new team members to strengthen Marketing by the C’s offerings, services, and overall response to needs of those we work with.

Unlike other years, MbtC did not invent anything new or cool in 2024, BUT similar to most other years, we did many cool new things, and produced several new videos.
In the early part of the year we completed a super unique construction project video (that included the relocation and renovation of a massive historic building), that we had been capturing footage of for 2+ years. This was a major highlight as projects go, but also quite possibly the coolest video we produced this year.

We kept things fun in 2024 with creative ideas, live music events, and community support. When the business owners we work with have ideas, we love bringing them to life. Two stand-outs for 2024 were the SJ Toilet King concept, and Orale’s Baja Beer Garden.
–
The live music spanned from Hip-Hop to Country, as the Stop Drop & Roll Show Live hosted 6 live events, and KBDC partnered with KTRY to host Bradley Gaskin for a very rare and intimate gathering inside their showroom.

Our ongoing efforts with city web guides that highlight locally owned and independent businesses ( SJis.cool WGis.cool LGis.cool SoDAsj.com & SoSAsj.com ) continue to grow, and we’re aiming to give more support to the East Village and Calle Willow regions in 2025.

Marketing by the C also started helping more local businesses, individuals, and organizations with webmaster services, and more new websites to be launched soon. In a few specific cases, the website owners were confident they’d need brand-new websites, but after a quick diagnostic check, I was able to assure them that all they needed was some updates….saving them lots of money.

I am proud to share that January 2025 is the beginning of my 19th year in the digital media and marketing industry at large. And while I could never imagine I’d be where I’m at professionally in my younger life, each year that passes continues to be an adventure filled with excitement, fulfillment, and good human connections with folks like you.

Season’s Greetings & Happy New Year!
